We are all disciples!
What does actually dispel mean?
The word disciple is from the Latin word discipulus. And the meaning is student.
We can ask our self, am I a student of God? When we are in church, we have teaching of Gods word. We get more knowledge about him, the way he is and how he want us to behave.
Cant we all in here call our self a disciple then? I would say so.
In the bible can we read about the Faresees (Matt 22.16) and John the Baptist (Matt 9.14). They had students that they thought how to do things, in the same way did Jesus have students, and they followed him and his words.
The way of follow is not the same as today; it was the way of the Jews. As a Jew you did follow your master wherever he did go, you did live with the teacher. In that way you got knowledge about the teachers way of living, the way of speaking and behaviour.
In the bible they use the word disciple about Jesus twelve followers. But out of the word we are all disciples. We have the Holy Spirit in us, and we are follower of Gods words. Acts: 11:16 << Then I remembered the word of the Lord, who He said, “ John Indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit”>>.
